East Leeds v NEAB U15’s: Sunday 3rd April -
Published: 3 April, 2022 - 8:21 pm
Our first game since we’ve moved division.
New Earswick started the game well, completing their first 3 sets and defending well. Leading the way in defence were Alfie Lindsey, Seth Jacob’s and Eli Drury.
The first try came at the end of another good set, Alfie Lindsey breaking the line to score. Elliot Seymour added the goal.
Not much between the teams up to half time, with the All Blacks going into the break 6-0 up.
The start to the second half again was strong from both teams with defences on top. That was until Isaac Lowson powered over near the corner, with Elliot Seymour adding another great conversion.
All Blacks next try came from our own half from a piece of individual brilliance from Finlay Sanderson. Finlay took the ball to the line, threw a dummy, stepped a couple of players and showed some great pace to finish off his run. Again, Seymour converted.
All Blacks then came under a little bit of pressure before cracking and conceding a try from their acting half, with the extras being added.
The All Blacks then defended their line well with East Leeds having back-to-back sets.
All Blacks then managed to score again through Alfie Lindsey to release some pressure. Seymour added the extras to make it 4 from 4. Again, East Leeds put a lot of pressure on in the last 5 minutes, but a spirted All Blacks defence held them out.
The game finished 24-6 the All Blacks. Miller Wilkinson, Joseph Guy, and Jack Pallister all had great games. All round a cracking team profomance.
