NEAB U10’s V Sherburn Bears: Saturday 29th April -

Under 10s welcomed a skilful and pace filled Sherburn Bears team on a perfect Saturday morning for rugby down at New Earswick Sports & Social Club.

The All Blacks with what has to be the best team performance of the season so far came out strong and full of confidence from the start with the forwards controlling the game.

Elise the NEAB captain for the day leading her forwards from the front, Jacob, Flossy, Austin and Henry providing the power in not just the attack but in defence and were determined not to let the sherburn players through.

Archie with his season best performance picked up a well deserved supporters player of the match thanks to his powerful runs and his tackling getting up off the line early and big hits leaving the opposition rattled.

The All Blacks backs, Tom and Toby led the team around the pitch from first and second receivers with Jonah picking up opposition player of the match thanks to his skilful runs and picking holes in the Sherburn defence line.

Oscar picked up player of the match due to his passing work, moves, kick return effort and what has to be one of the stand out try’s of the match when he attacked the line and sent Jacob through the gap to crash over the line.

Sherburn was fantastic had lots of pace and everything they did seemed to come through there opposite player of the match Riley.

Both teams played the game in the best sprints in a tightly fought game showing a masterpiece of junior rugby league to the supporters.

Special mention to Harry and Charlie for coming down to support there team and providing much needed water to the team throughout the game.
